5Love It!

By GraceySprinkles

i didn't get this phone from amazon i got it from the at&t store on bay st. it's an amazing phone! it has everything i need. it works great i haven't any problems with it(:

i like that it's very thin and small compared to most droid phones my friends have. i can easily stick it in my front pocket instead of my back pocket. the battery lasts all day and it came with a USB cord which you can easily hook up to the charger or to a computer. it holds all of my music and with a SD card it can hold several movies (depending on the SD card memory. i have a 4GB memory card and it holds 2 full movies and 3 music videos). it connects to wi-fi and will notify you if there are any wi-fi networks in the area you are in. the phone came with twitter, facebook and google talk apps already loaded. it also came with a 2GB memory card.

now about the camera. the camera is 3.2 megapixels. it is wonderful for taking photos great quality and it has auto-focus. unfortunately the video camera is not the best which disappointed me because i like to take videos.

overall this is one of the best phones i've had and i have had a lot of phones. i would definitely recommend this phone(:

4Works pretty okay but feels like it was rushed to production.

This is my first Droid phone. I got it in June after having the LG Xenon for a year and a half. It definitely is a step up from the Xenon but has some (in my opinion major) flaws:

1. No "End" or "Close" or "Cancel" button. It only has a "Home" button that takes you to the home page but doesn't actually stop or close whatever you had open, just hides it. This especially bugs me when I accidentally call someone and try to hang up quickly. I hit the Home button by reflex to make the call go away, but that doesn't actually end it, just hides it. Then the screen automatically goes black and locks when you're making a call, so I can't get it to go back to the screen and end the call the proper way. I usually end up waiting for the person to answer and letting them hang up to end the call. This also bugs me with applications, where if something is taking too long to load and I change my mind about doing it (like a Facebook page or posting to Twitter) I'll hit the Home button to make it go away. But either the phone will internally continue loading it and therefore slow down everything on the phone, or next time I open that application it will go back to waiting for that thing to load. If I'm posting a tweet and realize I misspelled something or change my mind about it, the only way to stop it between hitting the button and it actually getting through is to go to the menu and force the application to stop instead of just hitting a "Close" button and stopping it and closing the app like I could do on my Xenon. ALSO when browsing the internet, the Home button doesn't close your window either. You have to manually go to the list of pages you have open to close it, and you have to be aware of this because there's a max number of pages you can have open so everytime you want to close the browser you have to do this. I wish it had a button to just close/end things!!

2. Gets screwed up when you're changing location. I just got back from a trip to New York City, and travelling on the train or between the boroughs did a number on my cell phone. It's nifty that I have a device that can be located by GPS and help me find restaurants and such, but my phone seemed to get confused when I'd go from Manhattan to Queens let alone riding through every town in North Carolina. And when it gets confused, it slows down even if I'm not doing anything location-sensitive.

3. Sending pictures can be a hassle. I'll have a strong enough signal to send and receive texts or browse the internet, but not enough to send a picture. It goes with the location issue, the phone only seems to be able to send pictures from places it's familiar with. Twice during my trip I was trying to send a picture from somewhere I'd never been, but it wouldn't go through until I got back to my hotel. Apparently Droids and iPhones also have trouble sending pictures to and from each other. I definitely have trouble receiving pictures from my friend's iPhone.

4. The rotating screen. It doesn't have any trouble switching from portrait to landscape (in fact it loves to whether I tell it to or not) But takes forever to get it to rotate back. Doesn't really cause any problems but gets really annoying.

Those are the only complaints I have. Other than that it was really easy to figure the phone out and use its applications. I've had trouble with games slowing down my phone and having to uninstall them but judging by comments other people leave on those apps' pages in the market that's more of an issue with the game being ad-heavy or data-heavy and not necessarily the phone. This phone is a good size if you don't want a mini-iPad and is slightly more feminine-looking to me than some htc models. Personally I don't like the new trend of having giant phones but this one wasn't much bigger than the one I already had and I liked that a lot. Plus the only buttons on it are physical buttons and not touch screen which I prefer. So basically I would recommend this phone, but it definitely has the feeling that LG rushed it into stores and forgot a couple of things (like an End button).

3Good basic android phone

By T.O

I have had this phone for about 3 months. Bought it because I wanted to see what Android was all about. Probably not the best phone to get. I didnt have a problem with this phone at first but after awhile of using this I realized that it is super slow. It also constantly synchronizes and that makes me unable to access my phonebook. Also when you are on 3G network even when your not using your phone within 3 hrs my battery is dead. It has excellent battery life when it is running on WiFi. Picture and video quality is good.

All and all is an alright phone. I would not recommend anyone to get it though if they are looking for a lot of performance out of phone.
