Product Description of LG DoublePlay 4G Android Phone (T-Mobile)
Equipped with dual customizable touch screens, the unique Android-powered LG DoublePlay for T-Mobile is perfect for heavy texters with its slide-out full QWERTY keyboard and Swype onscreen keyboard technology. It's powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor for excellent multi-tasking.
The 3.5-inch main display offers capacitive multi-touch capabilities, and the 2.0-inch sub display divides the QWERTY keyboard into two halves. The screens can operate independently or in tandem, enabling you to perform multiple tasks at once such as updating your Facebook pages while simultaneously surfing the Web, texting, or checking e-mail.
This phone is specifically designed for T-Mobile's 4G HSPA+ mobile broadband network, which currently covers over 200 million people across the U.S. (read more about HSPA+ below). The DoublePlay also offers Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking as well as the ability to share its 3G/4G Internet connection with other laptops and other Wi-Fi enabled devices.
And with T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling, get great in-home coverage for no additional cost. Wi-Fi Calling lets you send and receive calls over your Wi-Fi network, so you get great reception in every room of your house (learn more below).
The DoublePlay comes with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and HD 720p video recording, allowing you to capture and share pictures and videos via messaging, e-mail, or Facebook. It also offers multiple messaging options, including Cloud Text and Group Text, giving you the ability to send and receive texts from a PC or tablet or create group chats on-the-go for faster, more efficient content sharing.
The Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS delivers complete user customization with seven home screens and up to nine touchscreen shortcuts for one-touch navigation. Other features include a 2 GB internal memory, microSD memory expansion (up to 32 GB), Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity for hands-free devices and stereo music streaming, full HTML web browser with Adobe Flash support, and up to 3 hours of talk time.
